Newmarket Community Education Partnership (NCEP) originated in 2004 at a kitchen table and was inspired by a series of conversations among local parents who wished to augment the social, academic, and enrichment opportunities for local youth, paying close attention to kids who have limited access to programs that are already offered in the academic and recreational settings in our town.

Our aim is to support local efforts through funding of programs and materials. Today, we have attained nonprofit and 501c3 status and run a biannual grant cycle, maintain a wishlist of goods and services, and award $1000 each year to a resident who exhibits exemplary service to our children and youth. NCEP has granted over $17,000 to recipients representing a variety of interests and areas of need in the community. Among the projects funded this year were an enrichment program focusing on US culture and geography, an after school yoga group for 12 – 15 year old girls, and staffing 1-on-1 aides at the Newmarket Rec Center’s summer camp sessions for those who would not be able to participate without support.
