| Community members were busy this summer giving the teachers room a whole new look. The walls have been painted, there is new carpet, new countertop for workspace, new flat screen monitors, a new sink and a new refrigerator. Wall murals painted by Janet and Carolyn Riley finished the room off with a personal touch. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this project. Newmarket Community Education Partnership (NCEP) coordinated the make-over and provided funding. Mike Rideau of Mike Rideau Carpet Sales donated carpet and installation, Lou and Lorraine Caprioli of Caprioli Painting donated paint, and State Street Discount donated a new refrigerator. Painters included Penny Botterman, Gwenn Madeau, Laurie Hounam, Sheryl Rosa, and Heidi Chase. A special thank you to Roger Harvey who worked very hard in the hot weather installing countertop and to James Rosa who was there every day helping out with whatever was needed. Thanks also to Donna Reed, Lisa and John Dreher, Linda Colpritt and Resource Labs for their help. And finally, thank you to George, Mack and Don – without the help of the custodial crew, this project would not have been possible. |
